Badoo Pitchfork Ticket Giveaway
Badoo will be giving away 5 pairs of tickets (estimated value of approximately $110/each) for this summer’s Pitchfork Festival in Chicago (Illinois), which will be taking place from the 13th to the 15th July 2012. A pair of General Admission Tickets will be released on each day from (and including) the 9th July 2012 to (and including) the 13th July 2012.
- In order to be included in the sweepstakes, participants must:
- Log in to www.badoo.com, m.badoo.com or the Badoo App;
- Find a specific Badoo profile by the name of “Pitchfork Badoo” located in the Chicago area; and
- Using the Badoo “chat” function, send the following message to Pitchfork Badoo: “Meet me at Pitchfork”.
- The sweepstakes will open on the 9th July 2012 at 2PM CDT and end on the 13th July 2012 at 12PM CDT.
- One winner shall be randomly selected each day from all qualifying entries received before 8PM on that day. Non-winning entries for that day shall not be considered for the purposes of the following day’s draw. Entries received after 8PM on each day shall be carried over to the next day’s draw, unless the next day is 13 July 2012 or after. The drawing on 13th July 2012 will be at 12 PM CDT.
- In respect of each participant, only one entry per day shall be considered during the sweepstake period.
- Winners of tickets will be notified via email from 3PM CDT on 13th July 2012.
- Winners must collect tickets from the box office at the event venue, Union Square before 8PM on the 13th of July 2012, failing which Badoo shall be entitled to redistribute the tickets at its discretion. Further details relating to ticket collection shall be sent to winners.
- Entry is open to legal United States residents in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia over the age of 18.
- Entry to the sweepstakes shall be subject to the General Terms and Conditions for Badoo Sweepstakes.
General Terms and Conditions for Badoo Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible Entries. A PURCHASE or payment WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

Badoo Trading Limited of 12 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4QD or any of its group companies (together the “Badoo Group”), or any agents, sponsors or event promoters involved in organizing Sweepstakes on behalf of any member of the Badoo Group (each and together “Sponsor”). - SPECIFIC RULES:
In addition to these General Terms and Conditions for Badoo Sweepstakes (“Official Rules”), other specific terms and conditions may apply to a particular Sweepstakes (“Specific Rules”). Such Specific Rules will be detailed in relevant Sponsor communications in respect of the particular Sweepstakes and will be deemed incorporated by reference into these Official Rules. In the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and the Specific Rules, the Specific Rules shall prevail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or amend any Sweepstakes or these Official Rules without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these Official Rules or the Specific Rules or in relevant Sponsor communications. Sponsor may at any time, without notice, issue further terms and conditions to be read in conjunction with these Official Rules. - ELIGIBILITY:
The Sweepstakes are offered only to legal United States residents in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are over the age of 18 at the time of entry (each an “Eligible Entrant”). Officers, employees and agents of Sponsor or its owners, affiliates, directors, subsidiaries, and franchisees (collectively “Released Parties”) and their immediate family members, officers, employees and agents (as applicable) are not eligible to participate in any Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes (no correspondence will be entered into). Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. - PROMOTION PERIODS:
From time to time, Sponsor will offer the opportunity to enter certain sweepstakes promotions (“Sweepstakes”) for a specified period (“Sweepstakes Period”). All Entries must be received before the end of the Sweepstakes Period. Late Entries will not be taken into consideration in the selection of a winner. In the event that Sponsor elects to offer a Sweepstakes with a different Sweepstakes Period, the start and end date of such Sweepstakes shall be clearly posted. Sponsor’s clock is the official clock for each Sweepstakes. - HOW TO ENTER A SWEEPSTAKES:
You can enter any Sweepstakes offered by following the instructions applicable to the Sweepstakes as detailed in the Specific Rules or promotional material applicable to the Sweepstakes, for one (1) entry (“Entry”) into a Sweepstakes, at which point you will become an “Entrant” in that particular Sweepstakes. Sponsor will keep a winning Entrant’s personal details for a reasonable time so that it can send the Entrant the winning Prize, to verify that these Official Rules have been complied with and for accounting purposes. By entering a Sweepstakes, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Entrants agree to keep confidential all information relating to the Badoo Group and their respective businesses, personnel, agents, sponsors and event promoters received by Entrants as a result of winning or participating in any Sweepstakes.
Limit: Only one Entry per Sweepstakes offered is permitted. - PRIZES, APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV) AND ODDS OF WINNING:
Sponsor shall award at least one (1) prize (“Prize”) for each Sweepstakes and shall clearly describe and state the approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize at the page where you submit Entries into the Sweepstakes (“Prize Notification”). Each Sweepstakes shall be administered separately and the ARV for the Prize shall be calculated based only on that particular Sweepstakes. If you have questions regarding any Prize following expiration or removal of the applicable Prize Notification, please contact Sponsor at customercare@corp.badoo.com. The odds of winning any Sweepstakes will depend on the number of Entries submitted for that Sweepstakes. Each Entry shall be equally weighted and have the same chance of winning. - RANDOM SWEEPSTAKES DRAWINGS:
Unless otherwise specified, during or after the close of the Sweepstakes Period, Sponsor shall randomly draw potential winner(s) from all eligible Entries for that Sweepstakes. If your Entry is drawn, you will be deemed the potential winner of the Prize, pending confirmation and/or verification of your eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. - AWARD OF PRIZE:
Winner(s) of a Sweepstakes may be announced in Sponsor’s communications following the Sweepstakes. If you are selected as a potential winner of a Sweepstakes, Sponsor will attempt to notify you via telephone and/or via e-mail within thirty (30) business days of the end of the Sweepstakes Period. To claim your Prize, you must reply to Sponsor within the time period indicated in your notification, or perform any reasonable action as Sponsor may specify in order to claim your prize or Sponsor may select an alternative potential winner. Before awarding a Prize, Sponsor may require you to furnish proof of identification and other proof of eligibility under these Official Rules. If you are found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, decline to accept the Prize, Sponsor is unable to contact you, or in the event that the Prize or notification is returned undeliverable, you will forfeit the Prize, and Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential winner at random from the pool of all Eligible Entrants. Allow up to 12 weeks for delivery of your Prize, which will be mailed to the address you provided at registration. All Sweepstakes Prizes are subject to availability. The right to receive a Prize is non-assignable, non-transferable and no prize substitution, exchange or cash equivalent will be allowed, except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a Prize of equal or greater value in case of unavailability of a Prize or force majeure. Federal, state and local taxes, insurances, internet costs, transfers, spending money and other expenses, if any, unless specifically stated, are your sole responsibility. - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Sponsor and the Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Sweepstakes; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of Entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt, use or misuse of any Prize. If for any reason an Entrant's Entry or is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, Entrant’s sole remedy is another Entry in the Sweepstakes, if possible. If the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, is discontinued for any reason, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the Prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of Prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than stated number of Prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be unavailable and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of Prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, unawarded, eligible Prize claims. - BINDING NATURE, WAIVER, INDEMNIFICATION:
By entering a Sweepstakes, you agree: (a) to be bound by these Official Rules and by all applicable laws and decisions of Sponsor, which shall be binding and final; (b) to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with respect to these Official Rules; (c) to waive all of your rights to bring any claim, action, or proceeding against any of Sponsor or the Released Parties in connection with any Sweepstakes; and (d) to forever and irrevocably agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless each of Sponsor and the Released Parties from any and all claims, lawsuits, judgments, causes of action, proceedings, demands, fines, penalties, liability costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable outside attorneys’ fees) that may arise in connection with: (i) any Sweepstakes, including but not limited to your participation or inability to participate in any Sweepstakes, (ii) typographical or printing errors in these Official Rules or any Sweepstakes materials, (iv) any change in any Prize (or any components thereof) due to unavailability, or due to reasons beyond Sponsor’s control, (v) any interruptions in or postponement, cancellation, or modification of any Sweepstakes, (vi) human error, (vii) incorrect or inaccurate transcription, receipt or transmission of any Entry, (viii) any technical malfunctions or unavailability of the Website or any telephone network, computer system, computer online system, computer timing and/or dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or Internet service provider, or mail service utilized by Sponsor, any of the Released Parties or by you, (ix) interruption or inability to access the Website or any online service via the Internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems, (x) any lost/delayed data transmissions, omissions, interruptions, defects, and/or any other errors or malfunctions, (xi) any late, lost, stolen, mutilated, misdirected, illegible, delayed, garbled, corrupted, destroyed, incomplete, undeliverable or damaged Entries, (xii) any wrongful, negligent, or unauthorized act or omission on the part of any of the Released Parties, (xiii) lost, late, stolen, misdirected, damaged or destroyed Prizes (or any element thereof), or (xiv) the negligence or willful misconduct by you. Sponsor and Released Parties are not responsible for any injury or damage, whether TO YOU OR TO ANY OTHER person or TO ANY property, related to or resulting from YOUR participatiOn in any sweepstakes and/or acceptANCE OF any Prize. By participating in any sweepstakes, you expressly assume all liability and responsibilty for your participation and agree that participation is solely at your own risk. - PUBLICITY RIGHTS:
Except where prohibited, by participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to allow Sponsor and/or Sponsor’s designee the perpetual right to use your name, biographical information, photos and/or likeness, and statements for promotion, trade, commercial, advertising and publicity purposes, at any time or times, in all media now known or hereafter discovered including live television, world wide, including but not limited to on the World Wide Web and Internet, without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law. - PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY:
Sweepstake winner(s) may be required by Sponsor to participate in promotional activity on behalf of Sponsor and Sweepstakes winner(s) hereby acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to use photos, videos, sound recordings, text and any other materials arising howsoever out of or in relation to such promotional activity at any time or times, in all media now known or hereafter discovered and in any reasonable manner for any purpose as it may see fit, throughout the universe, in perpetuity. - GENERAL:
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prizes at random from among the eligible Entries received up to the time of the impairment. These Official Rules are subject to and incorporated by reference within Sponsor’s Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between the Terms of Service and these Official Rules, the Official Rules take precedence but only in relation to the Sweepstakes. In the event of any conflict with any details contained in these Official Rules and details contained on the Website, the details set forth in these Official Rules shall prevail. Sponsor reserves the right, to disqualify any individual found, in its sole opinion, to be tampering with the operation of the Website or any Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Collusion with other Entrants is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification. For a Winner List, write your name and address on a 3"x 5" card and mail it in an envelope to: Winner List, Badoo Trading Limited, 12 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4QD. Winner List requests will only be accepted after the applicable Sweepstake’s end date (listed on the applicable Sweepstakes Notification) and requests must be received no later than thirty (30) days after such end date.
