Fun, Fun, Fun - Which Country Has The Most?

As you know, here at Badoo we’re all about having fun. Being sociable and outgoing is part of our DNA - we’re well known for our parties (like the one in the picture) -  and we know that our users are always up for a new adventure, to meet new people, and generally just to have a good time in life.

With that in mind, we thought it appropriate that Badoo create the first ever “Global Fun League”, which pits countries from around the world against each other, all in the noble pursuit of fun.

We asked our users around the world the same question: “How often would you say you really have fun and have a good time?” So, who were the big winners? And the sore losers?

It seems like Argentinians and Mexicans are the world champions of having fun. They top the global fun rankings, while Poles and Russians rank last by some margin, with neither admitting to having much fun at all (this, we find hard to believe!) Hmm, does a warm climate, great beaches and speaking Spanish help you have more fun?

It seems that it does. The Spanish top the European fun rankings (no surprise for a country that parties by throwing tomatoes at each other), while Spain also emerges as the world’s largest exporter of fun, in the sense that countries of Spanish heritage bag three of the top four spots in the world rankings.

The Americans place a respectable 6th place, ahead of the Brits in 8th position. But it seems that even the stiff upper lip of the English is more prone to letting loose than the Brazilians, coming in a dismal 10th. Whatever happened to the famous carnival spirit?

Read the full report here for more on our first ever Global Fun League, and see if you agree with our findings. They’re bound to cause some spirited discussion, and maybe even spark some travel ideas for visiting the most fun countries!
