Brazil is Badoo’s biggest market, with over 23 million active users, so we thought it was about time we shared some of those user experiences here. Fellipe Cardoso from Volta Redonda in Rio de Janeiro got in touch to let us know how he loves using the site and mobile app to meet new people:
Badoo is a site where you are always logging on to keep in touch with people and chat with them; I go online several times a day on my PC and mobile.
What first attracted me to Badoo was the fact that it focused on relationships. A lot of the other social networks out there like Facebook seemed a bit childish to me, with people posting every silly little thing about their lives like “I just had a coffee” or other trivial stuff, which I think is really annoying. It’s much more interesting to meet new people, but a lot of the dating sites out there you actually have to pay for, where Badoo is free to use.
I get great responses from people I contact on Badoo, and that’s because I take care to make my first messages really creative and communicative. If you put the effort in you will get a lot more people answering. Like in every kind of real-life relationship, it’s really important to treat people with respect and sincerity. Everybody is on the site to meet new people, and nobody likes being lied to, so be honest.
All my experiences on Badoo have been really good ones, I only met interesting people, from all walks of life. I think that life and relationships are all about learning; meeting new people and learning about them, their background and their experiences is a wonderful way to enrich your life. I did meet women for dates, but I also made many friends and even work contacts. I still meet up with people I met on Badoo over a year ago, and travelled to cities I had never been to in order to get together with them, so it really helped me to expand my horizons.
Badoo is really democratic too, because it’s available to everyone, so you’re always just a click away from maybe changing your life, as long as you have the right personality and attitude! It’s an adventure.
We'd love to hear your stories about how you use Badoo, so please get in touch!
