At Badoo, we’re really proud to be a part of driving innovation and growth within the UK tech scene. So when we heard that Le Web , one of the most exciting technology conferences in Europe, was coming to London, we were delighted to be a part of it.
Le Web London took place over two days this week at the historic Central Hall in Westminster and organizers Loic and Geraldine Le Meur welcomed a host of international entrepreneurs, celebrities and thought leaders to discuss the theme “Faster Than Real Time”. Or in other words, how can we build for a future that is evolving faster than any of us thought possible?
Our COO Ben Ling, took to the stage on the first day. Ben chatted with influential Silicon Valley commentator Robert Scoble , about how Badoo is addressing one of our most basic human needs, both now and in the future - which is how we can build new relationships and connections with people, in order to have a healthy social life.
Ben explained Badoo’s mission - to provide the world’s best, easiest, fastest way for people to meet each other locally and globally - and set the tone for our future growth as a company. You can watch Ben and Robert discussing Badoo’s growth here.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Badoo without a fabulous party to help celebrate Le Web and the London tech scene! So later on that night, we all enjoyed a wonderful evening full of great food, great music, and maybe a few sneaky glasses of champagne.
